Hannah Lazaris, summer of 2020 + 2021
In the summer of 2020, Hannah focused on native fungal species. The following summer, she returned to the lab to conduct a molecular analysis of soft bodied ticks collected from the nests of puffins to ascertain the presence of Borrelia.

Juan David Carvajal, exchange MSc student 2021
Juan David was an exchange MSc student through an international partnership between Dr. Lloyd and Universidad de Caldas, Colombia. His recent research included the discovery of a novel Borrelia species in argasides found in the department of Arauca and worked on describing it genetically.

Alexandra Nuyens, Honours 2021-2022 
Alex looked at epigenetic mechanisms of how the bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi causes behavioural and physiological changes to Ixodes scapularis (black-legged tick).

Keeley Barnable, Honours 2021-2022
Keeley's research focused on the role of DNA damage response genes and related genes in colorectal cancer. Keeley previously worked as a health intern with Dr. Gurpreet Singh-Ranger (Chief of the Department of Surgery) at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville, New Brunswick.

Riley Oremush, Honours 2021-2022
Riley worked on tracking the population distribution of nocturnal wildlife in rural and urban areas of the Sackville region. In particular, studying the prevalence of the racoon roundworm (Baylisascaris procyonis) in Maritime Canada and it's potential threat to human populations.
